Dan, een bassist uit de VS, had een sterke muzikale achtergrond, te beginnen met zijn familie. Als zoon van een muziekinstrumentenhandelaar werd Dan blootgesteld aan vele artiesten in vele muziekgenres.
Hij begon klassieke gitaar te spelen, maar het was pas op de middelbare school dat hij een echte liefde voor de bas vond. Dan verhuisde naar Chicago, waar hij speelde en opnam met vele lokale jazz- en bluesartiesten. Hij is te vinden op opnames van St. George en Norton Records met bluesartiesten Andre Williams en Taildragger. Hij toerde met deze artiesten in de VS en in Europa.
Momenteel woont hij in Delft, waar hij nog steeds speelt en componeert met veel Nederlandse artiesten. Huidige projecten zijn onder andere Cruise Control New Quintet, Rotterdam Jazz Lab, Jazz Mess, P&Q, The Great Bebop Saxophone Quintet, Zo Jazz Lounge featuring Graziella Hunsel Rivero, Ron Walker met Wouter Kiers en heeft 4 albums opgenomen met de Leidse band Oak (nu Olivier's Army) op The Electric Co. / Universal Records, Bart Egeter en Cruise Control.
Dan, a bassist from the USA, Dan had a strong musical background beginning with his family. As son of a musical instrument dealer, Dan was exposed to many artists in many musical genres. He started playing classical guitar but it was not until high school that he found a true love for the bass. Dan moved to Chicago where he played and recorded with many local jazz and blues artists. He can be found on recordings from St. George and Norton Records with blues artists Andre
Williams and Taildragger. He has toured with these artists in the US and in Europe.
He currently resides in Delft, The Netherlands where he continues to play and compose with many Dutch artists.
